چکیده

In this paper, an event-Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP)-based algorithm is proposed to solve the task allocation problem in a Robotic Sensor Network (RSN). A fleet of two types vehicles considered, giving, as result, heterogeneous configuration network, since each type vehicle has nominal velocity and set allowed paths go. The can be applied distributed estimation solar irradiance on parabolic trough thermosolar power plant which used increase global efficiency plant. simulation environment been built test algorithm, taking into account behavior structure compared with traditional methods such Optimal Assignment Problem (OAP) using indexes that have defined purpose.

Jointly power and bandwidth allocation for a heterogeneous satellite network

Due to lack of resources such as transmission power and bandwidth in satellite systems, resource allocation problem is a very important challenge. Nowadays, new heterogeneous network includes one or more satellites besides terrestrial infrastructure, so that it is considered that each satellite has multi-beam to increase capacity. This type of structure is suitable for a new generation of commu...

Sensor network-based multi-robot task allocation

We present DINTA, Distributed In-network Task Allocation a novel paradigm for multi-robot task allocation (MRTA) where tasks are allocated implicitly to robots by a pre-deployed, static sensor network. Experimental results with a simulated alarm scenario show that our approach is able to compute solutions to the MRTA problem in a distributed fashion. We compared our approach to a strategy where...

Optimization of Task Allocation in a Cluster-Based Sensor Network

Sensor networks have recently gained a lot of attention from the research community. Sensors are significantly resource-constrained devices and last till the depletion of their batteries. Sensor networks typically have a large number of nodes. To ensure scalability sensor networks are often partitioned into clusters, each managed by a cluster head (gateway). Efficient management of a sensor net...

New task allocation methods for robotic swarms

We study a situation where a swarm of robots is deployed to solve multiple concurrent tasks in a confined arena. The tasks are announced by dedicated robots at different locations in the arena. Each task requires a certain number of robots to attend to it simultaneously. We address the problem of task allocation: how can the robots of the swarm assign themselves to one of the announced tasks in...

Sensor Network-mediated Multi-robot Task Allocation

We address the Online Multi-Robot Task Allocation (OMRTA) problem. Our approach relies on a computational and sensing fabric of networked sensors embedded into the environment. This sensor network acts as a distributed sensor and computational platform which computes a solution to OMRTA and directs robots to the vicinity of tasks. We term this Distributed In-Network Task Allocation (DINTA). We ...
